Fingerprints generates fingerprint ridges from the same structure forensics uses to classify them: loops, whorls, arches and accidentals. Make a single print, a ten-print card, or ridges running across the whole frame as a pattern.

Fingerprint Pattern questions.

What is a fingerprint pattern?

A fingerprint pattern is a texture of curved ridge lines like the skin of a fingertip, either as individual prints or as a repeating field.

How do I make a fingerprint pattern in Photoshop?

Open Filter Archive from the Plugins menu and choose Fingerprints from the Backgrounds group. It draws from nothing, so you don't need a photo. Start from a preset such as Ridge Field or Fine Field, adjust it while the preview updates, then press Apply to add it as a new layer.

Can I use it in Affinity or Figma?

Yes. Fingerprints runs in Affinity 3 on Mac and Windows, from Filters, then Plugins, then Filter Archive, and in Figma through the Figma Community, where generators work with nothing selected. One licence covers Photoshop, Affinity and Figma.

Which presets come with Fingerprints?

9 presets: Ridge Field, Fine Field, Outline, Latent, Whorl, Handled, Ten-Print Card, Arches and Inked. Every setting stays editable after you pick one, and you can save a stack of filters to use again.

Can I change the colours?

Yes. Fingerprints has Ridges and Ground colour controls, so you can set them to any colour, including your own palette.
